Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, prospecting, and following up with potential leads. The position will require technical and commercial support. Work efforts include commercial support and a level of technical support such as specification review, product selection, sample creation, and quotations. Project management skills which include order execution and follow-up; and engagement in special projects to support continuous improvement to increase productivity and reduce cycle time for customer support while providing exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Expand sales for existing accounts by introducing new products and services and developing new applications
- Utilize sales expertise to uncover new opportunities
- Cold Calling, prospecting, and other outbound sales efforts
- Add to customer base by meeting with potential clients and educating them on the benefits of our products
- Close sales by building rapport with potential accounts; explaining product and service capabilities; overcoming objections; preparing contract
- Manage customers in an efficient manner to maximize sales opportunities
- Effectively maintain and retain existing customers by building long-term relationships
- Perform proactive customer “goodwill” calls and frequently travel to visit new prospects
- Act as a liaison between TiMOTION Applications Team and the customer
- Respond to all inquiries and sales requests within a specified time frame
- Track quote status, sample status, and sales statistics submitting appropriate reports to Sales Management for periodic reviews.
- Submit Proposals for the customization of existing product and/or a new product to meet customer requirements
- Participate in trade shows and exhibitions
- Travel throughout North America as required. Occasional international travel for training.
Skills / Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and follow up skills, task management
- Excellent collaborative and communication skills (written & oral)
- Experience in “Cold Calling Potential Leads”
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Shows consistent professionalism and good judgment
- Strong work ethic, sense of commitment, competitive attitude with a will to win
- Good computer skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid driver’s license and qualify to be insured under the company auto policy
Education / Experience
- 4-year degree in Business or related
- 3-years B2B sales and account management experience
- Industry experience in Linear Actuation Systems a plus
