Job Description

 

The candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, prospecting, and following up with potential leads. The sales position will require the candidate to provide technical and commercial support. Work efforts include heavy commercial support and moderate to increasingly complex level of technical support such as specification review, product selection, sample creation, and quotations.  Project management skills which include order execution and follow up; and engagement in special projects to support continuous improvement to increase productivity and reduce cycle time for customer support while providing exceptional customer service.

  • Expand sales for existing accounts by introducing new products and services and developing new applications
  • Utilize sales expertise to uncover new opportunities
  • Cold Calling, prospecting and other outbound sales efforts
  • Add to customer base by meeting with potential clients and educating them on the benefits of our products
  • Close sales by building rapport with potential accounts; explaining product and service capabilities; overcoming objections; preparing contract
  • Manage customers in an efficient manner in order to maximize sales opportunities
  • Effectively maintain and retain existing customers by building long-term relationships
  • Perform proactive customer “good will” calls and frequently travel to visit new prospects
  • Act as a liaison between TiMOTION Applications Team and the customer
  • Respond to all inquiries and sales requests within a specified timeframe
  • Track quote status, sample status, and sales statistics submitting appropriate reports to Sales Management for periodic reviews.
  • Submit Proposals for the customization of existing product and/or new product to meet customer requirements
  • Participate in trade shows and exhibitions
  • Travel throughout North America as required. Occasional international travel for training.

   Skills / Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • 4-year business degree.  Experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years business to business sales and account management experience
  •  Industry experience in Linear Actuation Systems a plus
